WoW - what you ask? It is short for Wonderful Women! On the eve of International Women's Day 2021, as I run through my life experiences with some of the most amazing women I've had the fortune of meeting / interacting with, it does justice to list them out and thank all of them for who I am today.
1) Amma - If I am saying I am truly blessed to have the most amazing amma in the whole world, it would be a gross understatement. She gave birth to us, brought us up to be independent, honest, caring and strong individuals. She has always walked her talk, and it is from her that I've always learnt to put my heart and soul into whatever I do. All through my rough life, she has been a solid pillar of support and I honestly can never imagine life without her. Love you ma! <3
2) Pippu - My bum buddy. She knows it all when it comes to me. Stuff that God knows, she does about me. Never judgmental. Rock solid. We have traversed high school, and today are mothers to 9 year old children (a girl and boy respectively), yet when we catch up, we are like those high school girls. Its tough to find a soul mate in the truest sense of the word. Pippu, in all ways is that and more. Love you da :*
3) Neena Davis - My first job outside of our family own business. And NRD as she was referred to was my first boss. Lucky me! It was from her that I learnt the art of being a professional. Her support and confidence in my abilities, helped me grow from Sr Manager to DGM Finance in a short span of 3.5 years. One of those really profound influences in my life. :*
4) Gangamma - Moorthy Sir's wife. They live in a small village 10kms from Attur, Salem, named Gangavalli. I met her for the first time in 2018. 3 years down the line, she has seen the worst phase of my life, and has given such sound advice, encouraged my independent journey as a single parent to my son with God's support. That big hug and kiss I received from her in Feb when I went down for the puja, is indicative of the place we hold in each other's heart. Connections can happen anywhere anytime! Om Lopamudra deviyae Namah!
As an end to this post, I would be failing in my duty, if I did not put in a line of gratitude to appa. Though a hard core conservationist and saffron minded person, it is all thanks to him and his belief that he gave me an amazing education, encouraged me to be my own person, be fearless and be down to earth no matter what changed around me. Thank you appa, The women of this world, need more appa's like you.
Respect women! Encourage women! Love women for all the right reasons! After all, you are brought into this world by a woman!!!
